Google Mail

Gmail is Google’s web-based email program, which provides users with over 6 gigabytes of storage, fast Google search, and powerful spam protection. As part of Google Apps for Education, email addresses will be @unca.edu rather than @gmail.com. Your current email address will not change. You can also learn more about the Gmail service by visiting the Gmail Help Center.

If you would like to make UNC Asheville Google Mail through Mozilla Firefox your default email client:
  1. Click here to download a registry setup file.
  2. Right-click the file you downloaded and select Merge from the pop-up menu.
  3. Choose "Yes" when prompted, "Are you sure you want to add the information to the registry?"
